Cora Lee Adkins age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday October 19, 2021 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Adkins was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 11, 1934 to Jack and Leona Davis Larue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Homer Edfard Adkins; daughter Melissa Mabe; siblings Virginia Amstutz; Rudca Larue; Oscar Larue and Lester Larue.

She is survived by a daughter Linda Baumgardner of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Glenn Adkins; David and Doris Adkins all of Galax Virginia; Scott and Kristi Adkins of Max Meadows, Virginia; eight grandchildren Hayley Adkins; Ashley Skoski; Mark Baumgardner; Michelle Swinney; Jason Adkins; Shannon Edwards; Chris Bullion and Kevin Bullion; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Billy Burnette officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
