Mr. Clyde C. Alley age 81 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Alley was born on December 20, 1929 in Grayson County, Virginia to James and Lillie Hanks Alley.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice Alley of Fries, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Randy Gravely of Lynch Station, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Melvin and Glenda Alley of Taylorsville, North Carolina; grandchildren Sherry Ann Gravely; Scotty Alley and Manuel Alley; great-grandchildren Tamisha Farley; T.J. Hector and Tyler Alley; three great-great-grandchidlren; sister Stella Bare of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Ray and Helen Alley of Independence, Virginia; Buford and Teresa Alley of Tampa, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Rick Watson; Rev. Lacy King and Bishop Charles Waller officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the church.
