Clifton Hurbert Sexton, age 76, of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday June 23, 2022 in his home.

Clifton was born on November 10, 1945 to Zelmer and Gladys Vaughan Sexton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Elaine Nelson.

He is survived by his wife Edith Sexton of the home; daughter and son-in-law Kim and Mickey Trimble of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Keith and Cristin Nelson of Max Meadows, Virginia, Allen and Paula Schafer of Marion, Virginia; great grandchildren Carri Buckley-Nelson, Xander Nelson, and Dorian Nelson. Also surviving are sister and brother-in-law Mae and Junior Thomason, brothers and sisters-in-law Roy and Mildred Sexton, Virgil and Frieda Sexton, all of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews, and special friends Jeanie, Susie Anderson, Wayne and Ruby Mabe, Tim Taylor, Joe Vaughan, and Marshall Shupe.

The funeral service will be held Sunday June 26, 2022 at 3:00PM in Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Tony Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until time of the service at Fries Church of God of Prophecy.
