Clifton Elwood Boyles better known as "Kotchie" Boyles age 83 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 in the VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Mr. Boyles was born on July 27, 1932 in Grayson County, Virginia to Frank Vestel and Ethel Stata Boyles. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lockie Waive Boyles.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Ona Lynn and Kenneth Straley Wagg, Jr. of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Jason Elwood Boyles; James Clifton and Kathy Denise Boyles all of Galax, Virginia; Justin Frank Boyles of Fries, Virginia; sister Merle Gaynell Boyles of Fries, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
