Clifford Horton age 85 of  Clarksville, Tennessee and formerly Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Mr. Horton was born on October 23, 1938 to Rufus and CarmenYork Horton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Hazel Burnett; Ethel Chappell; Gladys Wagner; Wilford Horton;  Alfred Horton and Garnett Horton.

He is survived by his wife Geneva Horton of Clarksville, Tennessee and formerly of Galax, Virginia ; sons and daughters-in-law   Bobby and Pam Horton of Galax, Virginia;  Tony and Carla Horton of Hillsville, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Billy Wall of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren Colton Buckner and Mandy Martin of Clarksville, Tennessee;  Austin and Katlyn Horton of Austinville, Virginia;  Amanda Wall and Ryan Wall of Clarksville, Tennessee; great-grandchild Sutton Kate Horton;  sisters and brother-in-law Belva Presley of Brosville, Virginia;  Mary Ruth and Walt Thomason of Alabama; brother and sister-in-law Montie and Linda Horton of Fries, Virginia; sisters-in-law Joann Horton of Fries, Virginia; Susie Horton of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 8th at 11:00 AM in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Marion and Pastor Michael Senter officiating; The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
