Clella Porter Bryant's Obituary
Clella Alice Porter Bryant age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Galax, Virginia on September 3, 1926 to Everette E. and Maggie Burnett Porter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kemper Bryant and a sister Oleta Claytor.
She is survived by her son and his friend Ricky Wayne Bryant and Carole Snyder of Galax, Virginia; sister Ardist Patton of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Mabel Porter of Galax, Virginia; two step-grandchildren Cher Dean and Philip Dean; four nephews Harry Claytor; Robert Patton; Roger Porter and Randy Porter; one great-niece Kaitlin Porter and one great-nephew Michael Porter.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Barry Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
