Clayton Virgil Sawyers age 51 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his
home.
Clayton was born in Galax, Virginia on August 31, 1959 to Virgil Clayton and Rachel Eastridge Sawyers.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Sawyers of Galax, Virginia; children Brianna Faith Sawyers; Joseph Levi Sawyers and Jerry Wayne Sawyers all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Rosa Lee Royal of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; Nancy Louise Phillips of Galax, Virginia; brothers Nelson Eugene Sawyers of Galax, Virginia; Jerome Sawyers of Woodlawn, Virginia; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gene Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
