Clayton L. Jennings age 95 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Golden Living Center-Blue Ridge.

Mr. Jennings was born on July 8, 1915 in Carroll County, Virginia to Riley L. and Laura Blanche Robinson Jennings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Cleo Gladys Farmer Jennings and a daughter Barbara Ann Jennings.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Rodger and Willadean Jennings of Woodlawn, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Kenneth and Jessica Jennings; Melissa and Johnny Guynn; great-grandchildren Anthony Utt; Daphne Utt and William Clayton Jennings; sisters Kathleen Lawson of Galax, Virginia; Ilene Whitt of Hillsville, Virginia; brother James Jennings of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmon-Lineberry-Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
