Claudy Washington Hawks' Obituary
Claudy Washington Hawks age 85 of Independence, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Hawks was born on May 4, 1926 in Carroll County, Virginia to Eldridge and Mahalia Hawks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Retha Annie Hawks.
He is survived by his daughters Susan Hawks and Ann Hawks both of Cana, Virginia; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 5:00 PM in the Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church with Elder B.J. Hawks and Elder Lacy Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 PM until service time at the church.
