Claude Jackson Hash age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the Carillion New River Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Hash was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 18, 1931 to Claude Dean and Bessie Ellen Haga

Hash.

He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife Alene B. Hash of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Michelle "Mickey" and Steven Douglas Montgomery of Dublin, Virginia; Teresa and Victor Lebario of Woodland Park, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Karen Hash of Woodlawn, Virginia; three grandchildren Christy Caudill; Seth David Montgomery and Michala Hash; two great-grandchildren Jacob Whitaker and Aislinn Montgomery; sister and brother-in-law Nancy and L.D. Galyean; brother and sister-in-law Scott and Jama Lee Hash all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Eddie Stanley and Pastor Kevin Carlan officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
