Claron Wayne Jones known as "CW" Jones age 74 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday November 1, 2023 in the VA Mountain Home Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.

CW was born on September 22, 1949 in Galax, Virginia to Curtis Elmo and Nora Imogene Hill Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Curtis Jones and Jimmy Jones.

CW proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by three children and spouses Chris and Michelle Durham of Johnson City, Tennessee; Juliana and Tim Stone of Woodlawn, Virginia;  Casey and Holly Durham of Johnson City, Tennessee; siblings and spouses Tim and Patty Jones of Woodlawn, Virginia; Mary and Joe Sauer of Charlotte, North Carolina; Molly Hill of Woodlawn, Virginia; Shelby Leonard of Galax, Virgina; Nora and Bob Cole of Independence, Virginia; eight grandchildren one great-grandchild; several nephews; special friends Bruce Finn; Big Mike & Casey; Cecil Hawks; ; Michael Hawks and Jerry Hawks; special dog Cujo.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 6th at 11:00 AM in the Crooked Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Bunn officiating.  Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
