Clarence Loman Jones age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at this home.

Clarence was born in Carroll County, Virginia on September 7, 1950 to Everett and Annie Stanley Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Jones and a step-daughter Tammy Vass.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Bobbitt Jones of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter and spouse Jessica Vass Boyer and Daniel of Fries, Virginia; grandson and wife Jeffery Vass and Hannah of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; ; two great-grandchildren Sophie and Lucy Vass of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; sisters and brother-in-law Violet Akers of South Carolina; Katherine Haulsey of Hillsville, Virginia;Juanita Bedsaul of Galax, Virginia;  Barbara and Wes McKinney of Ivanhoe, Virginia; brother-in-law Ray Bobbitt of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law and husband Judy and Larry Brannock of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Matthew Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
