Clarence Walter Boyer, age 75, of Galax, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Boyer was born March 3, 1932 in Grayson County, VA to Thomas & Margie Austin Boyer. He is survived by his wife, Geneva L. Boyer and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald & Gloria Hornbarger, Christiansburg, VA and several Nieces & Nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 11:00 AM in the West Galax United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. His body will lie in state for one hour preceding the funeral service and the Rev. Joe Carico will be the officiating minister. The family will receive friends at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Monday, March 3, 2008 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Masonic Rites will be performed by the Moose Lodge #733.
