Clara Lucille Boyer Funk age 96 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday January 30, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Funk was born on July 10, 1925 to Floyd Mack McKinley and Nannie Ellen Osborne Boyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Thomas Funk and siblings Anna Lee Combs; Helen Goodwin; Nancy Ridgeway; Robert Boyer; Floyd Boyer, Jr.; Charles "Chuck" Boyer; John Boyer; Joe Paul Boyer; Franklin D. Boyer and LRoe Boyer.

She is survived by a daughter Nannie Ellen Moretz of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Joe Mack and Betty Funk of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter and husband Rhonda and Ronald Parvin of Lovettsville, Virginia; grandson Jeffrey Funk of Woodlawn, Virginia; great-grandchildren Joseph Burcham of Nashville, Tennessee; Jacqueline "Jae" Parvin of Lovettsville, Virginia; sister Delta Rae Peterson of Sparta, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Talmage "T.C." and Betty Boyer of Sparta, North Carolina; sisters-in-law Karole Boyer of Sparta, North Carolina;Frances Boyer of Independence, Virginia; Patricia Boyer of Hanover, Pennsylvania; Janet Boyer of Bowie, Maryland; brother-in-law Roy "R.B." Ridgeway of Sparta, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; many, many friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Midway Baptist Church.
