Clara Jean Anders age 75 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Anders was born in Alleghany County, N.C. to Thomas Jefferson & Vera Murphy Brannock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Mack (Sonny) Anders. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Linda & Ricky Burcham of Galax, Va.; sons & daughter-in-law Clarence (C.J.) Sparks of Charlotte, N.C.; Lonnie & Dawn Anders of Galax, Va.; daughter-in-law Michelle Anders of Olympia, Washington; sister Verna Chesser of Galax, Va.; six grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Max Combs and Rev. Robert Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening froms even until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
