Christopher Lee Kelley age 51 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 at his home leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, love and deep impact on everyone who knew him.
Born on July 27, 1973 Chris was known for his unwavering dedication to truth and justice the values that shaped his life both in and out of uniform. A proud veteran and longtime member of the Raptor Community, he lived with conviction, purpose and strength. Above all else, he was deeply devoted to his family. His love for his wife was evident the moment you met him, and he carried immense pride in his children, always speaking of them with admiration and love. His life was a testament to sacrifice, hard work, honor, loyalty and love.
Preceding Christopher in death are his grandparents Roy and Sandra Kelley; Gilbert (AKA "Captain Windy") and Joyce Winchester; step-father Earl Wallace and other beloved family members that have gone before him.
He is survived by his wife Michelle Kelley; children Caylin Kelley; Cullen Kelley and Caden Kelley all of Woodlawn, Virginia; mother Betty Winchester Wallace; father and stepmother Roy Alan and Lisa Kelley; sisters and brothers-in-law Ashley and Lucas Austin; Candice and Michael Tozzolo all of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Alan and Charity Kelley of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; two step-sisters; several nieces and nephews; special relative Carlie McCraw; father-in-law and mother-in-law Nickie and Pat Handy.
A visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service following at 12:30 PM at the Cornerstone Community Church with Pastor Myron Dalton and Pastor Lucas Austin officiating. Military Rites will be conducted at the church by Grayson VFW Post 7726.
