Christine Widner Jones age 75 of Fries, Va. passed away Monday, January 21, 2008 in Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington, N.C.. Mrs. Widner was born on June 22, 1932 in Fries, Va. to Austin & Vina Belle Hall Widner. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Vicky & Richard Davis of Burlington, N.C.; sons & daughters-in-law Bobby & Diane Jones, Allen Jones, Randy & Star Jones all of Fries, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Paul & Judy Widner of Fries, Va.; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Eddie Stanley & Vicky Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
