Christine Murphy Hall

Christine Murphy Hall age 97 of Galax, Virginia and formerly of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Hall was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 16, 1929 to Troy F. and Nannie Carrico Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wesley George Hall and brother Troy Murphy, Jr...

She is survived by her sister Coleene Heritage of Galax, Virginia; two nieces and husband Carolyn Murphy of Fries, Virginia; Karen and Butch Blankenship of Woodlawn, Virginia; great niece Larissa Edwards of Narrows, Virginia; great nephews Seth Edwards of Fries, Virginia; Connor Blankenship of Narrows, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor Ricky Bedwell officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to either the Providence Methodist Church or Fries Fire Department.
