Chris Anthony Thompson age 56 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday June 13, 2024 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Chris was born in Galax, Virginia on July 7, 1967 to Richard and Barbara Ann Burnette Thompson.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Anthony and Jade Thompson of Appomattox, Virginia: Ryan and Kayla Thompson; mother Barbara Ann Burnette Thompson; brothers and sisters-in-law Shawn and Kristy Thompson all of Galax, Virginia; Neal and Crissy Thompson of Dublin, Virginia; two grandchildren Caraline Thompson and Audrey Kay Thompson and one on the way; two nieces Ava Thompson and Avery Thompson one nephew Isaac Thompson.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
