Charlotte O. Greer age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on March 27, 1937 in Jewell Ridge, Virginia to George Cedric & Virgie White Osborne. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Nell Tickle and a brother Roy Osborne. She is survived by her husband Ford Greer of Galax, Virginia; daughters & son-in-law Adrienne Greer of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Grace & Scotty Harmon of Galax, Va.; grandson Anthony Denton; sisters Helen Sisk of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Norma Tickle of Fredericksburg, Va.; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Galax Presbyterian Church with Dr. Tom Whartenby and Rev. Bob Dendy officiating. Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the the Galax Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Galax Presbyterian Church Emergency Fund.
