Charlie Eugene Nichols' Obituary
Charlie Eugene Nichols age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Nichols was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 8, 1932 to Charlie Lee and Candice Joines Nichols. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Ruby Williams, Marie Siceloff and Elsie Pugh and two brothers John Nichols and Lee Nichols.
He proudly served our country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife Geneva Nichols of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Randall Lawson of Woodlawn, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Allen and Sharon Nichols of Mt. Airy, North; Timothy Nichols and Jonathan Nichols both of Galax, Virginia; sister Minnie Patton of Independence, Virginia; sister-in-law June Nichols of Woodlawn, Virginia; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Brady Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
