Charlie H. McDaniel, 71, of Galax, VA passed away peacefully on Friday October 12, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles E. McDaniel and Elizabeth Gilman McDaniel. Charlie was born in Wytheville, VA on June 21, 1947 and worked as a building inspector for Wythe County for 30 years.  He has been a Harley Davidson enthusiast and rider for over 50 plus years

Charlie is survived by his daughter Maureen Wisely of Roanoke, Virignia. Also surviving are his sisters Judy Sherwood (Jack) of North Canton, OH and Betty Burnette (Sammy) of Galax, VA; brother, John McDaniel (Pam) of High Point, NC. Other family members left to cherish his memories are his nieces and nephews Tony and son Easton, Holli and children Thomas and Sarah, John and also his beloved biker friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 2:00PM at Vaughn-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel in Galax, VA with Sammy Burnette officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday October 20, 2018 at Vaughn-Guynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Galax, VA. The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the care they showed them and Charlie.
