Charlie (Jim) James Gallimore age 90 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Gallimore was born on March 30, 1929 in Galax, Virginia to Charley Woltz and Litha Guynn Gallimore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Ring Gallimore;  two children Michael Ray Gallimore and Nora Gallimore Craver;  a sister; step-daughter and husband Faye and Randy Moser.

He is survived by his wife Lois Marie Gallimore of Fries, Virginia; step-children and spouses Bradley Hampton; Jeffrey and Linda Hampton all of Galax, Virginia; Kenneth Hampton;  Terry and Debbie Hampton; Sandra and David Moser; Pamela and Gregory Carico all of Fries, Virginia; a sister Jewel Scherman; four grandchildren and  spouses  Tina Craver Roach and David; April Craver and fiance' Adam Wood; Dana Ray Gallimore and Leighann; Harley Lane Angel and Erica; two great-grandchildren Dylan Ashton Roach and Faith Craver Wood; special friend Jimmy Manuel  and his caregivers Iris and John Peoples .

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 pm in the Fries Cemetery with Pastor Max Combs officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
