Charlie James Daniels age 64 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Charlie was born on July 24, 1954 in Caswell County, North Carolina to Charles James and Ethel McDaniels Daniels. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Tony Daniels and two brothers David Daniels and William Daniels.

He is survived by his wife Gail Daniels of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Delores and Danny Higgins; one son Chad Daniels all of Ennice, North Carolina; step-son and wife Stewart and Misty Boyer of Mt Airy, North Carolina; sisters and brother-in-law Janie Royal of Sparta, North Carolina; Louise and Bill Garrison of Reidsville, North Carolina; Elizabeth Long of Eden, North Carolina; brothers and sister-in-law Albert and Angie Daniels; Junior Daniels all of Eden, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
