Obituary

Charles Olin Vaughan, 94, passed away Tuesday, May 6,at his home in Clinton Township, Michigan.

He was born in Cripple Creek, Virginia on January 25, 1920 to Robert Vaughan and Dorothy Grubb. He was a graduate of Fries High School and received a business degree from Bluefield College. He worked in the Fries Mick-or-Mack before joining the US. Army during World War II. After the War, he worked for the General Motors Corporation in Detroit, Michigan until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Eva, two children Edward and Carla, six grandchildren, brothers G.B. and Ralph, sisters Mary Kay, Ruth and Gladys and other relatives.

Visitation will be at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral in Galax on Friday, May 9th from 6-8 p.m.. A graveside service will be held at Providence Cemetery on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fries Methodist Church.
