Charles Rufus Tate age 46 of Cana, Va. passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Tate was born on March 2, 1963 in Mt. Airy, N.C. to Kyle & Thelma Tate.
He is survived by his fiance' Martha Libby Richardson of Cana, Va.; daughters Kalena Tate & Vicky Tate both of Cana, Va.; Matrisha Tate of Ararat, Va.; Amanda Tate of Mt.Airy, N.C.; sisters Vicky Ritter of Hillsville, Va.; Mary Padron of Mt. Airy, N.C.; brother Howard Tate of Mt. Airy, N.C.; four grandchildren; several neices & nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Goad & Elder Virgil J. Hawks officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
