Charles Vivian Sexton, Jr., 79, passed away Saturday, August 8 at his home. He was born August 21, 1929
in Carroll County, Virignia to Charles Vivian Sexton, Sr. & Etta Morris Sexton. In addition to his parents Mr. Sexton is preceded in death by infant son Christopher Mark Sexton.

He is survived by his wife: Helena Sexton of the home, five children and their spouses, Vivian & Don Crews of Moultrie, Georgia; William & Doris Sexton of Fort Chiswell, Virginia; Theresa & Barry Mawyer of Galax, Virginia; David & Pamela Sexton of Lynchburg, Virginia; Kimberly & Tim Coble of Hillsville, Virginia; two sisters Peggy Dickens of Galax; Wanda Pulliam of High Point, North Carolina; two brothers Virgil Sexton of Ashboro, North Carolina and Gene Sexton of Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one step grand daughter, three step grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 6 until 8 o'clock at Vaughan-Guynn. The funeral service will be held Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Donald Crews and R J Buttery officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
