Charles Blake Roberts' Obituary
Charles Blake Roberts,age 86, of Galax passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at his home. Mr. Roberts was born in Grayson County Virginia on February 11, 1927 to Sidney and Ollie Mae Williams Roberts.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Kirby Roberts of the home; son and daughter-in-law Danny Blake Roberts & Ann Carol of Galax; Sisters-in-law and husband: Ila & Buford Haynes and Irene Kirby all of Galax; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Galax Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Galax Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Brother Jimmy Haynes, 1438 Cranberry Road, Galax, VA 24333
Military Rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post #7726.
