Charles Harrison Ray age 75 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.
Mr. Ray was born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia on August 7, 1942 to George Winston and Mary Hazel Hamm Ray. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Smith and two brothers Sonny Ray and Bobby Ray.
He is survived by his wife Patricia McGrady Ray of Galax, Virginia; son Donald Ray of Hickory, North Carolina; step-children and spouse Tracy Scott Stoneman of Galax, Virginia; Ricky and Julie Hodge of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; sister Linda Roberts of Florida; four step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terri Gregory officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
