Charles Nicklous Isom better known as Nick Isom age 67 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Twin County
Regional Hospital.

Nick was born on December 25, 1947 in Carroll County, Virginia to Henry and Sadie Christley Isom.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Joan Isom of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Cathy Swisher of Galax, Virginia; Denice and Josh McBride of Woodlawn, Virginia; son Eric Isom of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren Adryanna Swisher, Amanda Swisher, Ashton McBride, Peyton McBride, Kelson Isom and Kaden Isom; sisters and brothers-in-law Faye and Steve Semones; Pam and Gary Hancock all of Galax, Virginia; Judy and Ronnie Sharp of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Butch and Kathy Isom of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Rex Tolliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted at the gravesite by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Crooked Creek Community Church.
