Charles Ronald Mullins

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Ronald Mullins, who left this world on September 27th, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born in Wise, Virginia, to the late Joseph Brownlow Mullins and Hattie Layne Hamilton Mullins, Charles grew up with a strong sense of responsibility, kindness, and quiet strength that shaped every part of his life. He grew up in the mountains of Virginia, and that is where his heart always remained.

Charles proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1970, spending time in both Vietnam and Germany, where he demonstrated courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his fellow soldiers.

He was a hard‑working man who loved nature, finding peace in the outdoors and joy in the simple beauty of the world around him. He especially cherished long rides through the country, where quiet roads and open fields brought him comfort. He also had a special love for his cat, Misty, who was his loyal companion and brought him warmth and joy.

Charles was preceded in death by his siblings: Margie Daily, Cecil Hamilton, Johnny Paul Hamilton, Betty Jean Mullins, Kelly Mullins, Danny Mullins, Linda VanAlstine, and Donna Cable.

He is survived by his siblings Doug Mullins and Sue Gobble, who continue to carry forward the family’s strength and memories.

Charles is also survived by his four daughters: Pamela Anderson (Micheal), Jenny Paris, Billie White, and Sarah Mullins (Bobby), and he had 10 grandchildren, 16 great‑grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sarah was his baby girl, and she stood faithfully by his side until his final days, helping care for him, never wavering in the love she had for her Dad, along with her husband Bobby Smith and their children Alexis Mullins, Bobby Smith Jr., Leyla Smith, and her granddaughter Sarenati Sanchez.

Charles is additionally survived by his special friend and companion, Geraldine Williams, and by her sons Chuck, Cliff, Randy and his wife Tammy, who were always there to help him in any way necessary, and who loved him so much and supported him in his final years in every way.

A celebration of his life will be held in the near future at his home, which he chose as his final resting place. His daughter Sarah will announce the time and date when arrangements are finalized.
