Charles Kyle, 90, of Galax, passed away Tuesday at Waddell Nursing Home in Galax. He was born September 12, 1916 in Grayson County to Conley Maxwell and Daisy Kyle Maxwell.

He is survived by two daughters & a son-in-law: Linda S. Jenkins of Washington, DC and Shelby J. & Bill Linson of Grand Prairie, Texas; four sons & daughters in law: Walter J. Kyle of Galax, William H. & Shelly Kyle of Wytheville, Conley P. & Helen Kyle of Galax, Zack & Linda Kyle of Radford. Two Sisters and one brother in law: Ella Mae Davis and Ann & Clarence Young all of Galax; One Brother & Sister-in-law: Alphonso & Mary Maxwell of Detroit, Michigan; sisters-in-law: Rose Maxwell of Galax and Rose Kyle of Baltimore, Maryland. 14 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends survive.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kyle was preceded in death by his wife: Truedella Kyle and children Daisy A. Kyle and Charles E. Kyle, Jr.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 8 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The service will be held Saturday at Oldtown Baptist Church at 1:00 PM
With Rev. Walter Kyle, Rev. Larry Cutler and Bonnell Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery.
