Charles Henry Isom's Obituary
Charles Henry Isom, 91, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his home on Poplar Knob Road, Galax, VA . Mr. Isom was born February 27, 1916 in Grayson County to Lonnie & Mae Catron Isom.
He is survived by four sons & daughters-in-law: James Isom, Butch & Cathy Isom all of Galax; Joe & Norma Isom of Fries; Nick & Joan Isom of Woodlawn; 3 Daughters & sons-in-law: Faye & Steve Semones, Pam & Gary Hancock all of Galax; Judy & Ronnie Sharp of Woodlawn. Three Brothers & one Sister-in-law: Albert Isom of Fieldale; Steward & Ruby Isom of Walkertown, NC; Raymond Isom of High Point, NC. Thee Sisters: Annabelle Bunn, Georgia Lineberry, and Edith Gravley all of Galax. In addition 17 Grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Monday at 11:00 AM in the First Assembly of God Church, Galax, with Rev. Cas Horton officiating. Interment followed in the McKenzie Cemetery.
