Charles Michael Floyd age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday December 7, 2022 at Senior Home Shares in Galax, Virginia.

Mr. Floyd was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 16, 1934 to Walter McLaurin and Mildred Treadwell Floyd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Pattie Sue Apple Floyd and a brother James Carlos Floyd.

He is survived by his wife Wilma "Susie" Floyd of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Vicki and Chuck Gregory of Greensboro, North Carolina; Nikki and Dean Chavis of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sons and daughter-in-law Mick and Debbie Floyd of Galax, Virginia; Rick Floyd of Georgetown, South Carolina; step-children and spouses Jack and Kammie Galyean of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Cathy and Larry Reedy of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Emily Floyd; Eric Floyd; Ben and Stephanie Gregory; Jessica and Jacob Norman; Philip and Bethany O'Dell; Matthew Floyd; Andrew and Ashley Floyd; Adam Chavis and Morgan Chavis; three; three great-grandchildren Blake Norman; Ryan Norman and Kellen Norman.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Baywood Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in the Comers Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Baywood Wesleyan Church.
