Charles Clifford "Chuck" Galyean, age 92, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday November 26, 2021 in his home.

Chuck was born on December 1, 1928 in Grayson County, Virginia to Coy and Myrtle Maines Galyean. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Caudill Galyean; sister Edith Galyean; brothers Talmadge Galyean, William Galyean, Eldon Galyean, Jackson Galyean, and Shirley Galyean.

He is survived by his wife Mitzi Marshall Galyean; daughter and son-in-law Michele and Larry Thompson; sons and daughters-in-law Nelson and Linda Galyean, Freddie Galyean, Mike "Buckwheat" and Sandra Galyean; all of Galax; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brother and sister-in-law Tom and Rena Galyean; sisters-in-law Susie Floyd, Norma Galyean; all of Galax; and special nieces Pat Bond and Diana Murphy.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 11:00AM in Galyean Cemetery with Rev. Barry Newman officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
