Charles Autry Catron, 73, of Independence, Virginia passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Golden Living/Blue Ridge Nursing Home & Rehab, Galax, Virginia. Mr. Catron was born in Galax, Virginia on December 14, 1941 to the late Robert Wesley and Nannie Dixon Catron.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly A. Catron of the home; son and daughter-in-law: Charles W. and Wendy Catron of Galax; one granddaughter Aleena Catron of Galax; brothers and sisters and spouses: Rosa Lee and Carl Akers of Galax; Rodger and Christine Catron of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Anna Lou and Bill McCreary of Mount Airy, North Carolina; step mother: Emma Jeane Catron of Independence; sisters-in-law and husband: Betty Miraglia; Barbara and Rudy Lineberry all of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother-in-law and wife: Burton and Betty Mabe of Woodlawn, Virginia; many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Cliffview Church of God, 2923 Fries Road, Galax, Virginia with Pastor Ron Hill and Rev. D. G. Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery, Galax, Virginia.
There will be no public visitation .
