Charles Junior Carrico known as "Bug" age 65 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Carrico was born on March 4, 1942 in Carroll County, Va. to Venard & Inez Funk Carrico. He is survived by his wife Brenda Carrico of Galax, Va.; daugters & sons-in-law Carolyn & Jeff Whittlock of North Pole, Alaska; Rebecca & Stuart Shockley of Max Meadows, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law James & Lucinda Carrico; Charles & Lois Carrico all of Galax, Va.; son & fiancee' Joseph Carrico & Sherry Ying Ling of Manchester, Kentucky; son-in-law Calvin Lee of Cartersville, Va.; sister & fiance' Judy Vaughan & Ulus Martin of Galax, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Robert & Marvalene Carrico of Wilson, N.C.; Roger & Mary Carrico of Galax, Va.; Kenneth Carrico of Collinsville, Va.; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Community Chapel Church with Rev. Michael Senter and Rev. Jimmie Marion officiating.
Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
