Chad Anthony Rector, age 52, of Fries, Virginia, passed away on June 4, 2024. He was born on June 3, 1972, in Galax, Virginia.

Chad was a loving father to four children, a faithful son, a protective brother, and a caring friend to all. He was known for his dedication, hard work, and affectionate nature. Chad's witty sense of humor and compassionate personality brought warmth and joy to all who knew him. His passing will be deeply mourned by his family and friends, who cherished him dearly.

Chad is survived by his father Jo Rector, mother Carolyn Rector, brother Bubba Rector, daughters Samantha, Sydney, and Shakira Rector and son Hunter Rector, special Aunt Faye Taylor, Aunt and Uncle Jim and Juanita Sawyers, Aunt and Uncle Sharon and Bill Ford. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dan and Nita Rector, and Sam and Edith Sawyers.

Chad served in the Reserves and worked as a Supervisor at Volvo. He attended Fries High School and Wytheville Community College. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.

A memorial service for Chad will be held on Saturday, June 8th, at Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visiting hours will be from 2pm to 4pm, with the Memorial Service beginning at 4pm.
