Cecil Garland Anderson age 75 of Independence, Virginia passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Anderson was born on March 24, 1938 to Lonnie and Celia Testerman Anderson.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Anderson of Independence, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Sonny Kinzer of Independence, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Joni and Justin Spurlin; Michael and Bridget Kinzer; great-grandchild Marci Spurlin; sister Hazel Anderson of Independence, Virginia; brother-in-law Kermit Porter of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Baptist Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
