Catherine Esther Gordon's Obituary
Catherine Esther Gordon age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
One of thirteen children she was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on January 20, 1929 to James Fulton and Cora Hunt Carver. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Garland Leroy Gordon.
She is survived by her daughter Gay Zachary of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Zandra Gordon; Larry and Karen Gordon all of Fredericksburg, Virginia; grandchildren Benjamin Zachary, James "G" Zachary and his fiancee' Shelby Hargrave, Michael Travis Gordon and wife Holly, Brandi McGuire; great-grandson Zachary Gordon; sister Helen Clark of North Garden, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church in North Garden, Virginia with Rev. Norman Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Blue Ridge Veterans Memorial, P.O. Box 1023 Galax, Virginia 24333 or to the First Baptist Church Handicapped Access Fund, 1024 East Stuart Drive, Galax, Virginia 24333.
