Carroll D. Delp age 69 of Powhatan, Va. passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 in Midlothian, Va.. Mr. Delp was born in Carroll County, Va. on October 6, 1939 to Truman & Nellie Lundy Delp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother Louie Burnett Delp. He is survived by his wife Diane Burcham Delp of Powhatan, Va.; son William D. Delp of Chesterfield, Va.; brother Guy Delp of Woodlawn, Va.; sisters Helen Lightbourne of Galax, Va.; Brenda Alley of Charlotte, N.C.; Sandra Ward of Christiansburg, Va.; one granddaughter and many nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Midway Heights Community Church with Rev. Jackie Delp officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Cranberry. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
