Carrol "Jockey" Lee Harrison, 85, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Mr. Harrison was born September 12, 1932 to the late Arlie Dilver and Thelma Ethel Crawford Harrison; sister Joann Hackler and brothers Earl, Willard and Bobby.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia Harrison Torkkel and Jorma Juhani of Woodlawn; Kimberly Harrison Reedy and Brian of Galax; grandchildren and spouse Jeff Funk; Brooke Reedy Hill and Robby; special family friends Malissa Gentry, Nikalus Gentry, and Natalie Gentry.

The funeral service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Dr. Ronny Harrison and Pastor Brian Frazier officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow the service in the Crooked Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening May 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn.

Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Grover King VFW Post #1115.
