Carolyn Harris Waugh passed away at her residence in Erwin , Tennessee on Tuesday October 20, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Nell and Henry Harris and wife of the late Charles R Waugh.

Carolyn grew up in Galax Virginia and graduated from St Mary's in Raleigh, NC then Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia. She lived in Galax with her husband Charles Richard until moving to Florida in 1985.Carolyn was a skillful and passionate duplicate bridge player having earned the rank of Life Master.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Richard , of Mountain City Tennessee and Layton Daniel, of Ashville, NC.; daughter -in-law, Kathy Spivey; and three granddaughters, Allison Paige Taylor, Katherine Grace Thaxton, Lindsey Nicole Waugh. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Cook and brother Layton Harris.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday October 24, 2015 at Felts Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. The family requests donations be made in her memory to a local Humane Society, animal shelter or charity of choice.
