Carolyn Leonard Cox age 75 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Cox was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 18, 1943 to Otie and Lottie Bartlett Leonard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Cox; sisters Lucille Carr; Louise Cooley and Gaye Hale; brothers Thomas Leonard; Ray Leonard; Gene Leonard and Bobby Leonard.

She was a member of the Mountain View Friends Church.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Regina and Ray Collins of Greensboro, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Doug and Angie Cox of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren Chloe Cox and Lydia Collins;  sisters and brother-in-law Lillian and Harold McMillan; Betty Jennings all of Galax, Virginia; special niece Carol Royal; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Brady Morrison and Jeff Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the McKenzie Cemetery, C/O Buford Wilson, 960 Cranberry Road, Galax, Virginia 24333.
