Carol Ann Amburn Shaffer, age 80, of Walkertown, North Carolina gained her wings and is walking with the Lord, on October 27, 2025 in Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mrs. Shaffer was born in Galax, Virginia on October 24, 1945, to Harlos Clynt Amburn and Mabel Manning Amburn of Woodlawn, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sam Preston Shaffer and a brother Larry Amburn.

She is survived by her son Shawn Shaffer of Walkertown, North Carolina and daughter Teresa Shaffer (Leslie) of Walkertown, North Carolina;.
three grandchildren, Andrew Shaffer, of Galax, Virginia, Lydia Shaffer of Galax, Virginia, and Hailey Grooms of Kernersville, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren Ivy Griffith, Raheem Fisher, Rumii Shaffer, Waylon Grooms, and Patsy Grooms.

Mrs. Shaffer ran Shaffer TV Sales and Service with her husband Sam Shaffer for twenty-five years. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, cruising, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In the later years, she really enjoyed playing Bingo.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan Guynn Chapel with Pastor Terry Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday one hour before the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
