Carlos Howard Melton age 77 of Woodlawn, Va. passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Mr. Melton was born on September 12, 1930 in Carroll County, Va. to Alvin & Ethel Leonard Melton. He is survived by his wife Betty Melton of Woodlawn, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Donald & Glenda Melton; Terry & Kelly Melton all of Galax, Va.; Randall & Cindy Melton of Hillsville, Va.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Cranberry with Rev. Max Combs and Rev. Bob Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
