Carlis Lloyd Diamond's Obituary
Carlis Lloyd Diamond, age 78, of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in the Salem VA Medical Center.
Mr. Diamond was born in Virginia, the Baywood area on February 6, 1935 to Willie Herbert and Hazel Sparks Diamond.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Belle Reavis Diamond of the home, and his daughters and sons-in-law Sharon and Tony Caudill; Karen Diamond and Bill Swisher all of Galax, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jared Anthony and Jessica Nicole Caudill and Garrett Douglas Vaughan. He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Wanda D. and Gene P. Cox of Galax, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 24th at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Diamond Family Cemetery on Englewood Drive with Military Rites by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
