Carl Samuel Tolbert age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Tolbert was born in Pulaski County, Virginia on September 29, 1935 to Luther Lee and Effie Vass Tolbert. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Irene Smythers and Helena Williams.

He is survived by his wife  Shirley Ann Worrell Tolbert;  son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Teresa Tolbert all of Galax, Virginia; sister Linda Tolbert Hall of Fancy Gap, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Derek Tolbert and Jenny Joe of Floyd, Virginia; Jennifer Tolbert; Lee Ann Cheek and Joey; Autumn Johnson and Austin Brown; Christopher Cecil and Christina all of Galax, Virginia;  great-grandchildren Miranda Tolbert; Sadie Tolbert both of Floyd, Virginia; Phoenix Semones; Nevaeh Semone; Marley; Ryland;  Hannah; Hailyn; Landon all of Galax, Virginia; Alexis; Carrie; Khloie; Laken; Christopher and Robert.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
