Carl Lee Poe better known as C.L. Poe age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Poe was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 12, 1942 to Sam and Bertie Cannoy Poe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Thelma Weatherman Poe of Galax, Virginia;  daughter and son-in-law Leigh Ann and Jason Dalton of Laurel Fork, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Emma and Don Weatherman of Galax,  Virginia; Joy Sexton of Asheboro, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth Gene and Dorothy Poe of Independence,  Virginia; three grandchildren and spouse Ethan Lyons, Kyleigh Lyons; Jacob Dalton and Taylor Jo Dalton; several nieces and nephews; father of Ethan and Kyleigh, Monte Lyons.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. James Billings officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the American Lung Association, 55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
