Carl "Carlie" Hancock age 75 of Galax, Va. passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Hancock was born on August 6, 1930 in Cripple Creek, Va. to the late Burell and Ida Linville Hancock. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie & Colleen Hancock of Pulaski, Va.; Kenney & Josephine Hancock of Fries, Va; and Kyle & Lena Hancock of Galax, Va.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Titus Anderson, Rev. Joel Mullins and Rev. Robert Lanter officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
